She lifted her head sharply, fixing the grinning blonde approaching her with a mildly disapproving frown.

"You're late."

She grinned and her bright blue eyes, hidden behind dark shades, twinkled in amusement. "Sorry, sorry... I got lost--"

"Please don't say 'on the road of life', Naru-kun," she interrupted chidingly. "Goodness, you spend way too much time with Kakashi-sempai."

Naruto laughed outright. "C'mon, Sakura-neechan! His excuses are funny and you know it!"

Having no intention of admitting the truth - she did find his lame excuses very amusing - she quickly changed the subject, directing her sharp gaze to her partner's disheveled appearance. "Planning on making a good impression, I take it?"

The blonde gazed at the orange tie hanging loosely around her neck. "May as well be comfortable... Who knows what's gonna happen once we get inside."

The pink haired agent sighed. "Tsunade told us we were to observe only,"

Her partner's amused gaze leveled with hers. "When's the last time we got a mission that didn't involve us having to bust some skulls?"

There was a long pause. "Good point." Sakura paused, her gaze falling on the long rifle draped casually over her partner's shoulders. "Please don't tell me you're bringing that."

Blue eyes blinked. "Why not?"

Sakura clicked her tongue disapprovingly. "You know as well as I do you're not going to use it."

Naruto laughed, "You know what Iruka-sensei always says... 'Always be prepared'."

Studying the firearm which even included a long-distance scope, an appreciative smirk slowly made its way across her face. "He also always said 'Always carry a spare'."

Her partner's grin widened even further, jabbing a thumb in the direction of her car. "Orange duffel bag in the trunk"

Hehe, I was watching a trailer for the new Bond movie, Quantum somethin or other and found myself pondering what it would be like if Naru and co. were agents instead of ninja.
