He'd been a little worried at first about her ability to successfully complete this mission. While she was one of the best ninja he'd ever seen, faced, or fought with, when they'd first met she'd been masquerading as a boy. She couldn't have had any Courtesan training, and therefore wouldn't know how to carry out an espionage mission.

He'd discussed his concerns with the Hokage, of course, but the Sannin had merely given him a smirk and replied, "Don't worry, she can handle it."

He didn't like, but since the mission was well under way, he'd have to deal with it. After all, if they were to successfully carry out this masquerade, they couldn't very well be caught talking shop, could they? Heading back to their suite - they were supposed to be young newlywed nobles, after all - he stepped in, preparing to tell his 'wife' that it was time to head down to dinner, when the sight before him took his breath away.

Blue eyes met his beneath thick, lush lashes, fluttering coyly. "Is something wrong..." He stilled at the soft, sultry voice drifting to his ears. "Anata...?"

He blinked, knowing he should be mortified at the bright flushing of his cheeks but powerless to do anything about it. 'She can handle it,' the Hokage had said...

The question was, could he...?
