Ayame means Isis -- or Orchid, at this time of night (morning) I forget which one really, but it's the Japanese name for some type of flower, I can assure you of that...

There's significance to that aside from the flower in her hair (even though I can't draw realistic flowers worth crap), but to tell you what that might be would be a super-duper spoiler...

This pic automatically came to mind when I was trying to come up with ideas for a filler storyline in between Tsunade's return to Konoha and Sasuke's defection. (don't beat me up! It won't be long, and I'm sure it'll be fun! Honest!) I'm still working the kinks out of it, but I'm almost certain of how I want it to go. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure Morino Idate winning his race was reaaally important, but it didn't really tie in as well as I wanted it to. Granted, I don't think my idea will either, but it involves Dressed-up!Naru, and how can you not love that?
